How can I copy a folder in icloud to a external hard drive with out opening the folder?

iCloud for Windows creates an iCloud Drive folder in Windows Explorer. You can simply hold the Control key on your keyboard, and then just drag the folder from there to the external drive like you would for any other folder, and it will be copied there.
On a Mac since its not exactly clear what you want to do this on, you can drag the folder from Finder to the external drive icon on the side pane just the same.
