Why can’t you schedule app updates to download overnight like with iOS updates?
I would like to schedule app updates to happen overnight. Currently app updates seem to happen when I’m using my phone.
iPhone 6s, iOS 11.1

If you set the updates to download automatically and your phone is plugged in and connected to WiFi at night, the app updates will download overnight. Or, you can turn off auto updates and then select "Update all" when it's convenient for you.

Thanks for the reply. If the apps downloaded when the phone is plugged in and connected to WiFi overnight then that would be great. But I often have my phone plugged in and connected to WiFi when using it (especially since the ios11 battery drain problem) I’ve turned automatic updates off before and ended up with massive backlogs of apps. I just wish there was a scheduling option. Thanks anyway.

They do for me. And, my phone backs up to iCloud. I'm not sure why yours doesn't work that way.
