in the settings menu, general, about, There is an item - SEID - DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT THIS IS/ and if it has anything to do with a message that pops up “This accessory is not supported.”

SEID: This setting refers to chipset identity that is related to security and NFC, the mechanism used as part of the Apple Pay mobile payments system on the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus.

What are you using when you get the ‘this accessory not supported?’


Inside every lightning connector is a chip, and that chip must be signed by apple....meaning the maker of the cable must have permission from Apple to make it. If they didn’t then you can get this accessory not supported.

Sometimes it’s a glitch.
