Revert to one partition

How do I revert to one partition thus giving me access to the whole drive?

Final Cut Pro X, OS X El Capitan (10.11)

Thanks for the reply. I made the second partition in Disc Utility where you simply drag out a second partition, so is it simply a matter of dragging the unwanted partition away, possibly leaving a minute portion of that partition when applied or is there another way? There is a + and - button, but the - is greyed out where I would have expected to simply select the unwanted partition and then select -
