High Sierra 10.13.1 Blurry Preview in Preview

I am having a problem with Preview app in High Sierra 10.13.1. The preview in preview became noticably and irritatingly blurry after my upgrade from Sierra to High Sierra. I am attaching the comparison between the rendering in Google Chrome and Preview below:

This is such a dealbreaker, since I use my Mac mostly for reading pdfs and other academic purposes. I would like to solve this without reverting to Sierra. I would appreciate any tips or solutions.

The distinction is definitely there. I will back this up with screenshots of identical resolution. However, the solution lies in blocking some other application. I will report the developments.

Is there any way I can tune that? For instance, prevent accelerated graphics from meddling in Preview's affairs?

Which I cannot do, because it makes the rest of the experience abysmal. The readability of Preview is objectively worse, I believe. I hope that this is resolved as soon as possible.

Yes, I gotta admit that they look the same. Could you, please, find two pdfs that have black text on white page (usual articles)? The difference looks sharper in these types of examples.

So at this point I'm thinking it may have to do with what fonts are being used and which PDF standard.

There was no denial. I clearly said some look the same and some are different. I'm not aware of any tips. You can always send Apple feedback.

FWIW, there is a slight difference in the "weight" of the characters with certain PDFs.
