I have a 2010 Mac Mini and all of the temperature sensors are broken and the fan is making a huge noise. I have a couple of raspberry pi's and they have heat sinks. I have installed them on my mac mini. Will this method "work" or is there a better way to cool my mac. I am using Mac OSX Mountain Lion (10.8.5) Thank you.

If any of the temperature sensors are broken or disconnected, then the System Management Controller can not properly control the fan speed.
You can buy replacement sensors and other related components for your Mac Mini from parts suppliers like, WeLoveMacs, TheBookYard, PowerBookMedics, DVWareHouse, etc..........
Get it fixed or get a large block of ice for a tabletop.
I do not want to pay the extra money to get it fixed. The block-of-ice method will also not work.
