Question: Autocorrect not working in Microsoft Office

I'm working on some essays in Microsoft Word and I have Autocorrect turned on. The issue is that it doesn't correct anything while I'm using any of the Office apps, errors just have a red squiggly line underneath them. Autocorrect works in every Apple app, like Pages, Safari etc.


Does anyone know of a way to fix this?

You, most likely, will get better results obtaining a potential solution if you go to the Microsoft Office Support forum on your question.


In the mean time, to try to help:

  1. Was this always an issue or just started to happen?
  2. Which exact version of Microsoft Office are you using on your MacBook Pro?
  3. Finally, is the notebook running OS X El Capitan as you posted in this area of the ASC?
