I have the iPhone x - and for some days 3D touch worked perfectly.
Suddenly - without any obvious reason 3D touch doesn't work anymore. I wonder why?
Have tried reboot, disabling/enabling 3D touch - doesn't help.
I never had this issue on my iPhone 7 - from where i restores to iPhone X.
Want an annoying issue on a brand new phone.
Anyone have any ideas (btw I really don't believe in full reset and restore)?

I am using a ultra thin case - but have also tried removing that - just in case. I am not using any screen protector.
It did work fine for some days - and then I suddenly noticed that 3D Touch stopped working without any idea of why. I can't think of anything I have down that have made it stop.
I did a restore from my previous iPhone7 when I got the X, and everything worked, including 3D Touch - but now it doesn't. Can it be related to any kind of app installed? Any app settings maybe?

I have the exact same thing - had the iPhone X since launch day, all working fine until last night where it stopped working altogether. Tried resetting the settings, factory reset, restore from backup but nothing fixed. Started working again for about an hour earlier this evening but stopped working again for no apparent reason. Took it to Apple Store and the genius said he 'hasn't ever seen this before', got an appointment booked for next week so will see if they have any resolution.
Interesting ... and apparently an issue. Please do update this thread when you have visited the store again.
I am pretty sure Apple has a problem with the OLED displays and the 3D Touch stuff...I have seen a few other on the internet report similar...let's hope it is something that can be resolved in an iOS upgrade.
Sorry for the late reply. Had my Genius bar appointment in which they ran all sort of diagnostics but found nothing wrong with the phone. Advised waiting for the next point iOS update and see if that fixes it. If not then a replacement iPhone should be issued he said.
I actually now tried to do a factory reset of my iPhone X - same same....3D touch doesn't work when it boots up freshly installed. :-(
