itunes keeps opening

i use el capitan, and it ran without problem, but recently i got a security update, no problem, but after that i have noticed that sometimes when i load a youtube video, itunes also opens, and plays a random song, it usually plays the last song i played but i have seen a few times where it would open something on the youtube side bar (probably random chance) or just something random.
i have horrible memory but i at least only remember it doing it while im running youtube, i remember a time a while back where it happened on youtube and twice today. although i know it happened more than 3 times i just dont remember what i was doing

note: its currently running on a failing HDD and i have a cord coming so i can back it up and restore it onto a different HDD using time machine
