Battery Life

The iPod touch warranty is International though I read that some places may ask to see the receipt. The battery does seem out of line with expectations. Try to get it into an Apple store and see what they say.

Ah yes, India. The source of the greatest number of warranty service problems. All I can say is that you will be very lucky to get warranty attention in India, having bought the product elsewhere.

Indian stores are all Authorised and not genuine Apple stores. They are privately owned and the proprietors are rarely interested in products they did not themselves first sell to you. On the brighter side, now Apple have manufacturing plants in India, we should soon see genuine Apple stores (2019, I hear).

I certainly wish you well and you do appear to have found someone interested. On the other hand I can tell you there are NO formal Apple stores in India. The government has not allowed them. Government upheld that Indian law only allowed stores that would have a minimum of 50.1 + plus ownership by an Indian national or company.

However, Apple's opening of manufacturing plant in India has opened that door. I am

not sure but I believe it may be under the Tata umbrella.

As far as service is concerned, I tend to field several complaints a week about people's inability to get service. That equally applies to the only Apple office in Bengaluru until the manufacturing plant started in May of this year. Now I believe it only deals with iphones sales which are being made / assembled there.

You're welcome. I would be really pleased not only to learn of any particular reliable store, but of anything I have may have misunderstood. We are only volunteer help, users, like yourself, but we strive to be as accurate as we can when answering the people who write in. As it so happens, I do have some knowledge of India and trading there, but it is not up to the minute.
