iPad iOS 11 Screen Recording Audio disappears in other apps

I have created screen recordings on iPad Pro iOS 11.1 with audio. The video saves to Photos and plays with audio. I can export the video directly to YouTube from Photos with audio. I can airdrop the recording to my iMac and play it with audio or edit in iMovie with audio.

BUT, if I import the screen recording video with audio into the Apple Clips app or the iMovie app on my iPad, there's no audio, just like it has been deleted (no audio waves visible in iMovie).

Why am I losing audio in my screen recording videos when I'm trying to edit it in other apps? Is there a work around or fix for this?

New discovery to add here - Audio from screen recordings is not a problem on iPhones. I was able to import a screen recording created on my iPhone into Apple Clips (on my iPhone) and it kept the audio. I also airdropped the screen recording (with audio) from my iPhone to my iPad, imported it into Apple Clips on my iPad and it played with audio.

There has to be something different about the screen recording audio on the iPad Pros.

I also took a screen recording created on my iPad and airdropped it to my iPhone. The audio was there when I played it in the Photos app. I then imported that screen recording into Apple Clips on my iPhone, and there was no audio.

I had the same issue with iPad Pro screen capture imported into imovie. What I did was download a program called Splice from the app store. Open your video in that app. Save your video in that app. Now believe it or not if you open this saved video in imovie it will now have sound.

I have submitted a bug report to apple. you should also.
