My iPhone X keeps telling me to double click to download an app in the App Store but will not do anything when I double click how do I fix this?

Just double click on the side button , the one you use to switch on and off your mobile
Yeah what’s up with that?!?! Spend over 1000 on an iPhone X and won’t let me dl apps. Says double click and then goes back to “get” on the app screen....suggestions anyone? Restarting didn’t do anything. Thanks apple
The Apple Designer and team who created that message and graphic are the ones that should feel DUMB. What if they added the word button " Double click Button" instead of "Double click to install". They knew the feature was not easily discoverable, thus they added the flashing, button.. and a message. They just didn't work hard enough...
I have doubled clocked the lock button and it just locks my phone. I have tried restarting my phone, and following the instructions in the link. It says loading on the app but it will not load. Help please!

Didn’t work! Tried it! Tried resetting all settings and starting completely over and signing out of iCloud and everything still will not let me download apps

dude, I was losing my mind trying to download an album from itunes. Tried double tapping the screen everywhere. Now I just feel dumb
