My display setting won't hold after I installed High Sierra
I install High Sierra and now my display setting keeps resetting and I can't see the icon or fold because it's off the screen.

Yes, my screen resolution keeps changing when the computer goes to sleep. It becomes so large I can only see the part of the Icons at the bottom and the files on the right side of my screen are off screen. Interestingly enough when I screenshot the screen it looks normal. Weird! I took a picture with my phone.
Your display’s resolution determines the size of text and objects on your screen. By default, the resolution on your display is set to show the sharpest text and the most detailed images. While it’s best to use the default resolution, you can manually set the resolution to make text and objects appear larger on your screen, or adjust it to make text and objects appear smaller so you have more space on your screen.
Depending on how you adjust the resolution, some app windows may not fit entirely on the screen. Using a scaled resolution may affect performance.
Check the box of default for display and uncheck the box of Scaled .
Run NVRAM / PRAM How to reset NVRAM on your Mac - Apple Support
NVRAM (nonvolatile random-access memory) is a small amount of memory that your Mac uses to store certain settings and access them quickly. Settings that can be stored in NVRAM include sound volume, display resolution, startup-disk selection, time zone, and recent kernel panic information. The settings stored in NVRAM depend on your Mac and the devices you're using with your Mac.
What display setting?
Are you perhaps accidentally zooming the screen? Hold the control key and use the gesture to scroll down (with the trackpad this is done by moving two fingers up or down).
If this it and you don’t want it to happen accidentally you can turn it off in System Preferences->Accessibility->Disp
It is a good thing that you posted this image.
It seems to me that there may be an overscan/underscan issue.
What is your mac model and the model of your display? How is it connected (HDMI, VGA?)
Do you have only one, or more than one display?
Can you post screenshots of what you see in System Preferences->Displays->Display?
Yep, I understand the concept but what happens is when my computer goes to sleep and I wake it back up it is so large the icons and folders are off screen. I reset it to scaled or default (doesn't matter which one I chose) when it goes back to sleep the setting appear correct in the system setting but what is on the display is gone back to being so large you can't see it on the display. I posted a picture in another reply.

Can you explain a bit more, do you mean the screen resolution keeps on changing, can you show us a screenshot of what you are experiencing.
Did not work...but thanks!
