Moving of keyboard location

In the last couple of days the keyboard location on my iPad model MD551B/A has suddenly moved from the bottom of the screen to the centre. This is very inconvenient. Why has it done this? How can I return it to its original position at the bottom of the screen?

iPad, iOS 7.1.1

Press ad hold the keyboard key bottom right of the keyboard, and after a second or so when the popup appears slide your finger up to the 'Dock' option. If you don't want the option of an undocked or split keyboard you can turn it off via Settings > General > Keyboard > Split Keyboard 'off'
