I am using family sharing and my son has it turned and we want to add to share purchases from itunes. how do we turn that part of it on? will it work for a purchase he did last night if we turn it on now?

how do i turn it on to share his purchases? I am the organizer and he is one of the family. when we set it up we didn't turn that feature on. how do I now turn it on to share the purchases? it shows on my phone he is not sharing. what do i need to do on my phone and his to turn it on?

anything associated with the account can be shared regardless of when it was purchased, it does not matter when you set up family sharing.
