Task Host is stopping background tasks (\Microsoft\Windows\Plug and Play\Device Install Reboot required)

Hello community,

I have a MBP 15 inch 2017 and am having constant problems on the Bootcamp side. While Booting and logging into Windows many times when I hit the Windows key (command key) the whole machine is hung. Everytime I go to reboot it I get the below error. During the same time I lose Bluetooth keyboard connectivity. Looking for help!

Thanks LT! I just tried doing a backup (incremental i guess it would be called) and the backup worked...

Speaking of drives - Had a question. I have another Mac (iMac) that I had on the beta program for High Sierra that I boot off of a removable SSD drive per the USB. Machine works like a champ but I chose to stay on the old format and not go with the APFS when I upgraded. i am ready to go to APFS on the drive but when I go into Recovery to do the upgrade the drive is greyed out. Do I have any options OTHER than restoring off a backup?

After 4 reboots an act of God must have happened because now I am ... Don't get it... Didn't try the command as of yet since it is up.

Per your last comment if I I tried the below command and got this:

diskutil apfs convert disk1

then

Error starting conversion from HFS to APFS: An HFS volume is required for this operation (-69837)

My OSX Drive is:

Below is the output. I don't have any converted disks LT. That is what I trying to do sir.. StorageDrive is my internal iMac drive, OSXDrive is my external OSX drive connected to my USB port and EXTSSD is another drive connected via TB to USB adapter that I use. The EXTSSD is the one the Mac doesn't see when I try to select the boot up disk. Disk Util appears to be able to convert it though. I can't convert the OSXDrive in Disk Util.

Hey hey LT. Got an update for ya. Did a solid backup with Time Machine which was currently Mac OS Journaled. Did a Command Option R and then wiped the drive and then restored successfully BUT the restore DID restore it back to Mac OS Journaled. Rebooted back via Command Option R and ran diskutil apfs convert on the disk. When trying to exit get the error "You can't change the startup disk to the selected disk. Running bless to place boot files failed".

No clue ..... Frustrated...

This is expected behavior.

Can you post the Terminal session, if possible?
