FCPX crashes while trying to open

I installed the FCPX 30 day trial, and it worked fine the day of. Today ( a day later), when I try launch it, it crashes and closes before I even click anything.

This is the error from the log:

I have encountered the same issue, and it happens when:


  • importing media to events
  • opening events which includes media


My MacBook Pro (15-inch 2017) is connect to LG UltraFine 5K display, so I disconnected it from my mac as you suggest.


FCPX starts and work with no problem when not connecting to a display. However, after connecting to a display the error always occurs.
