Why Dosent my iMessage work with all my I contacts when I’m out of Canada?

Although I cannot pinpoint as to why iMessage won't work for some of your contacts, I can perhaps find some possible solutions.
iMessage is not like SMS or anything related to that, but works based on WiFi connection. As long as you're connected to the internet, you should be able to still send and receive messages via iMessage. Some possible sources of error:
- The recipient is not on an Apple device
- The recipient is not connected to the internet
- Your concurrent internet connection does not allow you to send messages via iMessage (mostly Asia countries)
There are many other factors that can come into play when it comes to sources of errors for iMessage. However, I have just listed a few errors that could effect iMessage. If you think that you are getting technical difficulties with your device, then I would suggest you take it to a Genius Bar.
