Possible Apple phone phishing scam?

I received three phone calls today . The caller ID says Apple Inc. The phone number showed as 202-572-1460. The messages said there was suspicious activity on my iCloud account and I needed to call 760-203-2118.

I tried BOTH numbers and just got a recording that they are NOT in service??

I have not used an Apple product since the iPhone 4. I have not used any account nor is the credit card I had on file years ago even good anymore. Anyone else received calls like this? Will be calling Apple tomorrow during business hours.

iPhone 4, iOS 4.1

According to: Avoid phishing emails, fake 'virus' alerts, phony support calls, and other scams - Apple Support

"Scammers spoof phone numbers and use flattery and threats to pressure you into giving them information, money, and even iTunes gift cards. Always verify the caller's identity before you provide any personal information. If you get an unsolicited call from someone claiming to be from Apple, hang up and contact us directly."

I would also block the number.

I received the same call from 202 572-1460, twice, and they left messages for me to call them and an email also. Did not return their calls or respond to email. Spoke the real Apple.com and it is indeed a phishing expedition. i had already changed my password and they said that is all I needed to do at this time. This occurred right after downloading and installing the “Run Joy” app. Maybe just a coincidence. Good luck, Lee
