I agree with Klaus but I have long experience with Entourage 2008. Starting about macOS 10.9 it refused to launch from the Dock.

The workabout: find Entourage in your Applications folder and make an alias of the application. Drag the alias to the Desktop. Entourage should launch if you double-click the alias. That how I've been accessing Entourage since OS 10.9. With this workabout Entourage still serves me up to OS 10.12.

However I have not found reports of people testing it under OS10.13, so I've not upgraded that computer yet. It's possible that High Sierra 10.13 will finally break this useful old program. That is where links like Klaus's are useful. His is a third-party forum. This link goes to the official MS-hosted user forum:

Microsoft made a format change in 2016 that made their forums harder to use by hiding sub-forums including the one for Mac users. Once you get to the Office section from the main page, there are filters at the top of the page that will limit the responses to those relevant to Office:Mac.

I started using Ent in the early days of OSX when the then-new Apple Mail was rife with problems. Entourage always worked. Even though Apple Mail is now a stable product, I got used to Entourage and stayed with it. If you prefer the way Entourage works over Apple Mail and it will no longer run under High Sierra, the only way to get similar function is though Outlook:Mac only available in the MS Office 2016 Mac Home and Business version, or subscribing to Office 365.
