when I get calls they are not being saved to my recent calls how can I fix that

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. I see from your post that you're not seeing your recent calls in the Phone app of your iPhone. I know it's important to be able to access that list, and I'm happy to help.
Have you restarted your phone since this started happening?
Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
It would also be a good idea to check the time & date on your phone to make sure they are accurate:

See if you still need help after each step:
- Make sure that you have the latest version of iOS.
- Turn on Set Automatically1 in Settings > General > Date & Time. This automatically sets your date and time based on your time zone. If there’s an available time-zone update, your device lets you know.
- Check that your device shows the correct time zone in Settings > General > Date & Time > Time Zone.
