4 partitions in my iphone 7

Hi all,

This is my first question to ask the forum and hopefully it wont be too much trouble to resolve this one.

Running an app called system status on my iphone 7 running iOS 11.1.1 to understand storage issues on a practically brand new phone, I found something that doesnt seem normal (granted normal is two partitions but this may have evolved with APFS)

In a nutshell - my iphone 7 has 4 partitions and the sizing of them doesnt sit well with me at all - nor does googling the mount points for the final two and returning predominantly JB references but im using 11.1.1 so this isnt a concern - unless it should be that is lol)

Partitions are as follows:

1. /DEV/DISK0S1S1 - total Storage 32GB (Used: 25.9GB. Free 6.1GB)

Mount point: /

2. /DEV/DISK0S1S2 - total Storage 32GB (Used: 25.9GB. Free 6.1GB)

Mount point: /private/var

3. /DEV/DISK0S1S3 - total Storage 10.5MB (Used: 0.5MB. Free 10MB)

Mount point: /private/var/wireless/baseband_data

4. DEVFS - total Storage 53.8kb (Used: 53.8kb. Free 0)

Mount point: /dev

I am used to seeing 1 and 2 - but never the same size like that - and its odd that they are identical. Any attempt at understanding what the third item is results in hcking forums and nothing else based on its mount point. And DEVFS is macOS and is almost ridiculous in its size of only 53.8kb.

Can someone help me understand if this is normal for ios11.1.1 on a iphone 7 or if something else is up. Lately I have been recieving notifications for apps - particularly messages - and they have vanished within the app when it is opened.

You help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

JD
