Apple Music won't let me play my music on iphone

Ever since recent updates I can no longer load my music from my CD collection to play on my iphone. It will only play stuff from Apple Music.. I have an old, large collection of music I would like to use. If Apple doesn't allow this now I'll stop subscription. Help! Is it in settings?
