I just got curious about my relatively new LaCie drive, so I brought up Disk Utility, selected the drive then clicked the Info icon. It was relatively uninformative, but it did have a Media Name that looked like a model number, to wit:
ST316021 2A
So I googled that. Google asked if I meant "ST3160212A" so I clicked on its suggestion and quickly saw that it is actually a Seagate Barracuda drive.

Send an email to LaCie tech support with the model information. They should be able to tell you. Or you can disassemble the case to get access to the drive.
Why do you need to know? Surely if this was important you might have found out before buying the product.
In that case I'd take the system apart so you can not only find out what drive is installed but also inspect the interior construction, layout, etc. You'd need that info for your review anyway.
