“Enough” storage space will vary tremendously from person to person and how they use their devices. I have an original 12.9” iPad Pro, 128Gb with less than 15Gb free. It’s replacement will definitely have whatever is the max. available storage when I buy next.
My suggestion with iPads or iPhones is to always buy the most storage your budget allows. You cannot add storage later, so whatever you buy, you‘re stuck with.
That said, if your budget only allowed for 64Gb and you find yourself tight on space, you may just need to be clever and curcumspect with what you keep on the device at any one time, and make more use of your computer storage, online storage and more frequent swapping of content as needed.
I have a 64 gig and after 2 years I have 20 gig available.
enough is a relative term.
Do you like to store, edit or stream video? If so you may want more room
Or will you just email and surf and play a few games? If so, you are probably fine
You need to think about how you plan to use the device and go from there.
You have 14 days to return that iPad for a larger storage model, if you think you might not have enough storage with your current iPad Pro.
If you are a serious photographer/image editor, then I suggest you consider, at least, a 128 GBs storage model and maybe consider the 256 GBs storage iPad Pro model, as well.

If you plan on drawing/painting/sketching or doing full blown photo editing on an iPad Pro, these data files can get pretty large.

I am not familiar with streaming or the other things you mentioned ( I know, I am at this point, technology ********..Lol) but if I find it to be to my liking I might want to pursue such things. Alas it sounds as though I may have made an error in judgement going with 64 GB
I own a 24” IMac that I do my editing on; I have the Adobe Photoshop Lightroom program on there that I use, however, it did occur to me, wondering as it were if I could use my iPad Pro with these same apps, but now realize it is not going to happen with only 64GB.

Apps on iOS are different from ones on the Mac.
So, you will need to budget for apps as most drawing and image/photo editing apps are paid apps.
Maybe you need all of this to help you properly learn to use and navigate iOS 11.

Hi, thank you for your insights, it has given me much to think about. Upon giving this much thought I am thinking I need to go bigger if I use it for anything outside the realm of normal usage. Am so excited about getting this( actually my wife bought it for me) that I overlooked the critical aspect of space.
Again, thank you for helping me out. My wife and I bought it at Verizon Wireless, so, what I think I will do it tomorrow call them up and speak with the guys who assisted me to get their input on what they think is the right decision to make.

Hi, thank you for responding. Having not ever owned a IPad before, I am not entirely sure just what I will be using it for. I am a photographer and use pro gear, so thought perhaps it might come in handy for that. But again, I know nothing about the iPad thus am at a loss as how to answer your question. I bought the 64 because money is tight and did not think I could afford on with the higher capacity, however, I am concerned that I may be making a huge mistake.
