Other apps are fine in landscape but not the home screen
That is the same problem I have
Especially having had the 6+, 7+ now the 10 with a bigger screen just frustrating when you get used to using your phones in a particular way.
The holder in the car at least turns sideways but it annoying.
It’s only “dangerous” if you choose to fiddle with your phone when you should be watching the road. It’s your responsibility and there’s no excuse.
Iphones have never had a landscape view for the home screen except (recently) for the plus models.
You can't.
This option only concerns de Plus models. Apparently, landscape homescreen is not available on the iPhone X. All the other landscape contexts are fine, of course.

This is ridiculous. I keep my phone in landscape in my car for gps navigation and it’s just dangerous that I have to look at everything sideways when trying to navigate to another app.
