Downloaded High Sierra yesterday. Today my Mac has stopped sending or receiving iMessages. Have tried resetting, signing in/signing out, rebooting, etc. What now?

I downloaded High Sierra yesterday to my MacBook Pro (early 2015). As of today, my Mac will not send or receive iMessages Also updated my iPhone 6 plus yesterday, iMessages still functions fine. I have reset, signed in/signed out, rebooted, etc., done everything on YouTube and still no results. What do I try next?

Hi,

Test.

Set the Mac Version to only use the Apple ID

Set the iPhone to only use it's number in Send and Receive

Manually enter the iPhone Number on the Mac version in New Message "To" spot.

Send an iMessage to the iPhone.

If it does not send or does not arrive on the iPhone then you are not logged in.

You will need this Users Tip When the iMessages account will not Login

I suggest you use the program created by Etresoft, a frequent contributor. It will provide a snapshot of your system which we can analyze to possibly determine the cause of your problem. Please use copy and paste as screen shots can be hard to read. On the screen with Options, please open Options and check the bottom 2 boxes before running. Click “Share Report” button in the toolbar, select “Copy to Clipboard” and then paste into a reply. This will show what is running on your computer. No personal information is shown.
