iOS Files app picture preview not showing

I have family photos stored on dropbox and icloud drive. (Trying to transition from dropbox to icloud drive.)

When you view the directory the photos are stored in using iOS Files app, you can view thumbnails (preview) photos under 1 MB in size under icloud drive.

But here's the kicker: You can preview ANY sized photos under dropbox storage.

Usually Apple supports less of competitor than internal service. Ex: Facetime, iMessaging, icloud drive access from Android so why is iOS Files app working better with dropbox?

Of course you can view photos from both storage after download but it's much nicer to preview say 4 MB photo before deciding to download.

iPhone 8, iOS 11.1.2, This relates to ALL iOS devices.

Ah... I'm using the wrong service/app...

It was because these photos where taken with Sony/Olympus/GoPor Camera. (Has better low light handling, waterproof, rugged than iPhones) Seemed easier to move them into a folder/directory. Plus I have option to encrypt. (It's not naughty pictures.)

I'll try using iCloud Photos instead.

Thank You.
