In order to be able to listen to music from your Apple Watch under those circumstances, you will need:

• Compatible Bluetooth headphones or a Bluetooth speaker, paired directly to your Apple Watch.

  Note that music cannot be played from the built-in speaker on Apple Watch.

• To have previously synced music to your Apple Watch for offline listening (whether from Apple Music or other tracks in the music Library on your iPhone).
