iPad mini 2' screen with grey and white strips

Good morning,

I bought an iPad mini 2 Wi-Fi 32GB with version 11.2, on December 2014. Never had any problems until now.

Yesterday while I was playing a normal game, the screen suddenly got faded and grey and white strips appeared. I did not let it fall neither bumped it against anything. I thought it was low battery but I still had 24%. I restored it by pressing home button and shut off button at same time and screen got all well again. After a while, again the strips appeared. Have been doing this since yesterday. I have not tried to reset yet cause I doubt it will do anything and I don't want to loose my data. What seems to be the problem and what can I do to fix it? I'm aware that the iPad is out of warranty and from what I researched there might be something wrong with LCD. I'm sorry but I just don't understand how can a device like this gets damaged without even falling.

Thank you so much for the attention

Hi

If you can go to iCloud make sure iCloud back up is on Then backup now over your wifi.

When you get a new ipad set up over your wifi when it asks if you want to use iCloud backup Say yes to get your apps and data on new ipad.

Sounds like a faulty LCD they may offer you An out of warranty replacement you will need to pay part of the cost.

Make an appointment at Apple store.

Or go to Support.apple.com for posting details.
