Slideshow Photo order in Photos not what I set

If I play a slideshow from an album it is in the order I set. If I say create Slideshow from that album it plays as a random mess. How do I get the order I want?

Hello Nancy Fisher1,

I see that you're having an issue with the photos in a slideshow not showing in order you arranged them in. I know it's important to be able to create these slideshows and have the images display in the order that you prefer, and I'd be happy to help.

Let's have you take a look at this article for some help with this:

iPhoto: Create a slideshow
Take a look at the section titled "Create a saved slideshow".

This is a article about iPhotos...which actually worked better than Photos in many aspects but has been replaced for several years now. There are no events anymore and under File in PHOTOS is a selection Create which has Slideshows as an option...this is the one that produced the scrambled non order slideshows. The instant play option actually preserves the album order but you cannot chose more than one music track. Others are definitely having this issue with the new PHOTOS and HIGH SIERRA. Also don't really want to create a slideshow from Memories which are Apples idea of what my memories are and not my selections! I have already reported this issue to Apple Feedback.

If you really want background noise while presenting a slideshow, you could simply start iTunes in the background, playing your playlist. Or combine all all songs from your playlist into one singe audio file, for example with GarageBand. Then use the combined soundtrack as your background music.

if you create a regular slideshow project, you can rearrange the slides by dragging them manually around, but that is a pain, if you are using one of the themes with a lot of animation. I never use them anyway. I want my audience to be impressed by my photos and not distracted by the fancy animations. So I stick with the themes Classic and Ken Burns.
