Opening iPhoto library on Windows?

Hey,

I made a backup of my iPhoto Library. Now, I want to open my backup iPhoto Library on Microsoft computer. It seems not possible to open the Library on Windows. Also, I don't have any Apple computer anymore. I cannot open the Library.

Is someone familiar with this issue?

Do you know how to solve this issue?

Is there some software which I can use to open the Library with?

There is no way - you may be able to retrieve your original photos by going into the iPhoto library and copying the masters or originals folder out of it - it should contain your original photos

That is worrisome. Now, I cannot retrieve 1000-5000 pictures. That is a pitty.

you may be able to retrieve your original photos by going into the iPhoto library and copying the masters or originals folder out of it - it should contain your original photos

There is no solution. There is no app on Windows that can read and open an iPhoto Library. End of story.

You can retrieve photos, you just can't open the lIbrary. A different thing.

Right (or Control-) Click on the icon and select 'Show Package Contents'. A finder window will open with the Library exposed. Look in the folder called Masters (or Originals) on some versions.
