Windows taking over MAC

I have late 2009 iMAC 21.5" with MacOS 10.12.6 with Windows for Mac. When Finder opens Documents, Windows takes control and displays only Windows docs. How do I over ride this default and display ALL my documents?

OBS,iMac (21.5-inch Late 2009), iOS 10.3.3, Actually 10.12.6 but not on list

Well... yes... sort of... The page Finder takes me to does not have the up/down window where I van navigate to folders I want, It only offers the Office stuff...

Which is perfectly normal. If you are using Apple's Pages and asking it to Open a file, it will only show you files that it is capable of opening. If you are attempting to open a file that is not compatible with Apple's Pages or MS word, you would not be trying to open them from within those Apps/Programs.

Ok, more confusion for me. I restarted my computer to see if that would fix the problem. Firefox used the time to install an update, all looks different and I find this message in mail but not in the chat.

Not sort of, they are the same folder, you have the Microsoft Sub Folder open in one, but closed in the other, so they look different.

Thanks, I see the two folder icons look different, how do I resolve the open/closed problem?

Thx Stedman, please check my screenshots above to see the problem I am trying to resolve. If I enter Documents throug Pages etc. it shows all documents, with the ones Pages cannot access as greyed out but still displayed. If I search for Finder : Documents it takes me to the MS Office area with no other docs and no other way or window for navigation. I need to redirect Finder to open the area of ALL docs.
