Contact search in new iOS

When I go to send a text and search for a contact it displays grouped contacts instead of the person I am searching for. It will show various combinations that include the person along with others I’ve sent to in groups previously. I just want the single person. It is annoying and started happening when I updated the iOS. How do I stop it?

Hi Tfrachetti,

When you compose a new message to someone and their name along with the group members come up first there should be a "i" in a circle that you can tap on. Once you tap on it, you can hit remove and that group will not come up when you compose a message again.

From my understanding it groups people together like that because those are either some of the most recent people you have talked to or that was one of the last times you chatted with that person.

Hope this helps!
