I deleted an app but it still shows when I restard my phone

Earlier today I downloaded a game to try it out for a bit. Then delete it since I didn't want to continue having the app. So I deleted it. But for some reason when I restarted my phone later today for a different reason, I noticed the app is still there. But with a white skeleton like form. I deleted it because it still takes up space and restarted my phone but for some reason it just won't remove the app. How do I fix this?

Hello Joel_R,

Thanks for that info and choosing the Apple Support Communities. If I understand correctly, you are unable to delete an app on your iPhone, even after trying some good troubleshooting steps. To help with this issue, please go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage and see if this app is listed here. If it is, then tap on it and tap the option to "Delete App." Then restart your iPhone again and see if this app has been deleted.

Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If you're still having this issue with deleting this app, your next step is to reinstall iOS on your device; this will help us isolate the situation further. Reinstalling iOS should not affect any of your data, but it is always a best practice to make sure you have a current backup in either iTunes or iCloud.

Import photos and videos from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Once you have a current backup, follow the steps from the "If your device turns on but gets stuck during start up" section in this article:

If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won't turn on

Use the “Update” option and not “Restore” and these steps will reinstall iOS. Keep in mind that these steps were written for a different issue, but they will still help us isolate the situation further.

Cheers!
