Problems recording using iMovie

Me again

Has anyone else had issues recording video directly into iMovie? For some reason some of our footage has recorded in HD, whilst other takes have recorded in SD, all without us changing a single setting.

Has this happened to anyone else? And any idea how to resolve it?
