I have a new iPhone X, running 11.2. Airdrop is not working (hasn't since I set it up two days ago). On the 7 I came from, it worked.
I also upgraded my wife's iPhone 7 to 11.2 and airdrop no longer works.
I have followed the steps suggested in various forums (log out of icloud, reset network settings, force restarted, etc), but no luck.
Any help/ thoughts??

Try setting it to "Everyone" rather than "Contacts" and see if that works.
If it does it may then work when changed back to Contacts.
Another thing that might help is ensuring that your wife's phone has your Apple ID as part of the contact information for you.
After tikering around with some experiments such as the above I eventually managed to get it to work reliably on my phone.
Another thing that might help is to "Forget This Network" on both phones, then reset network setting and try again.

I've tried each of those and no dice 😟.
I tried with my Mac Book Pro, a few colleague's iPhones and others, and still no luck. I've been fooling around with it for the last three days and nothing.
