I want to buy an Apply TV 4K for my family in Thailand to buy and watch 4K movies. Other 4K movie streaming services like Vudu or Amazon block 4K movies from Thailand users. Are any 4K quality movies blocked from Thailand? Are any 4K quality movies allowed to Thai iTune users?
Need a bit more clarification. In the movies section of the Thailand iTunes store, there is a section marked "Featured 4K HDR Movies" but this only shows 13 films. On the other hand, many movies have the 4K logo underneath the Buy/Rent buttons (see Fast 8 below). If the 4K logo appears, does this mean it will play in 4k on an Apple TV 4K in Thakiland? Or will I buy it and find it only plays in HD?
Am I limited to only the 13 movies listed in the "Featured 4K Films" section? Would hate to spend nearly $300 on the AppleTV 4K and only be able to buy 13 movies.
If you go into the films section of iTunes Store you will find 4k films. If a particular film isn't available in 4k it will be because the Thai rights-holder isn't allowing it there.
Those 15 (not 13) are 'featured 4k' films (and your image is one of them). If it has 4k listed underneath it it should be in 4k on a compatible device.
