Should I get AppleCare?

I'm thinkin about getting a 15" Macbook Pro, but don't know if i should get the protection plan for it. I bought one for my iPod video and I am very pleased with the service I have recieved.

You pretty much answered your own question. That said, I always get Apple Care for my portables.

good answer! i recently had my logic board replaced and cost me about $1900 that is as much as a new mbp but i have the apple care so no worries. its worth it =)

I'm not so sure. Applecare seems worthwhile but their depot seems to have trouble with commonly replaced parts not being on hand, like Superdrives, in my particular case. My experience is being posted and updated with the topic heading
