I accidentally deleted iPhoto and need to reinstall it. I tried re-installing the OS and then upgraded to High Sierra with no success. I'm on a PowerBook Pro Retina 15-inch, Mid 2014. Can anyone help?

Look in your Applications folder - is iPhoto there? If do what version is it? If it is not and it is not in your purchases list in the Mac App Store then you have no choice but to migrate to Photos and take the time to learn it, it does have a learning curve and requires new work flows -- these may help - : Links to User tips re migrating from iPhoto to Photos

Switch to Photos, or log into the Mac App Store with the Apple ID you associated iPhoto with, click on the Purchases tab, and redownload it.
If you didn’t associate iPhoto with an Apple ID, click here and contact Apple.

Thank you for your super speedy response! I tried that but iPhoto did not appear. I have been a Mac customer since 1996.
Thank you so much! Indeed, the iPhoto app, nor the .plists, are there. I'll migrate to Photos. Thanks again and Happy Holidays!
