Looking for Lion 10.7 Download

I’m trying to reinstall Lion 10.7 so I can donate my old I Mac but it is no longer available in the App Store. Is somewhere else I can download it from?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.5)

You can still get it from the Apple Online Store, it costs about 20 bucks here is a link to the UK store but you will have to search for it in your own countries Apple Online Store, OS X Lion (10.7) - Apple (UK) you pay for it and then you will be sent a code via e-mail so you can then download it.

Have you tried Internet Recovery, what OS did your mac come with?

Thanks but I’m looking for something free. I already paid for Lion years ago and don’t see why I have to pay Apple again just because they decided not make it available in the App Store anymore. The computer is running Lion because it is “vintage”, from 2007 and can’t support anything later. I followed Apple’s instructions for resetting a computer and erased the disk and tried to use recovery to reinstall only to find out you can no longer reinstall Lion that way. Apple support basically said tough luck. Either buy the disk or pay a dealer to reinstall. All I want to do is give the computer away to somebody who needs it.

That iMac model can’t be sold with Lion on it(unless that copy of it originally came from a thumbdrive). You need to buy a disk.
