Microsoft considers Windows New Technology File System (NTFS) proprietary, and threatens to sue anyone who uses it without paying a license fee. Apple considers this anti-competitive nonsense, and refuses to pay such a fee.
Therefore Mac OS can Read, but not Write NTFS volumes.
If you would like to Write NTFS volumes, Tuxera and Paragon offer add-ons to do so at modest cost.
MacOS can read and write ExFAT format, which can be used for sharing with Windows. I am not certain of the maximum file size.

Thank for your help, I really appreciate. One more thing...do you know how can I know quickly if an external USB HD can be format in NTSF ?? Looks like it’s not every device that can be format in NTSF!
Maybe you’re right cause I just tryed with 2 devices that are at least 2-3 yo. One usb lexar flash drive and 1 usb 2.0 seagate external HD. Both can’t be reformat in NTSF...so before I bought a new one, just want to be sure I can format my next external HD in NTSF!
(...I’m just trying to put torrent movies (.mkv) to play on my new LG tv via USB 3.0)
No. That app allows your Mac computer to read/write NTFS drives it does not format a drive (as far as I know). I would not use a third party app. You use your Mac's builtin Disk Utility to format a drive.
To the best of my knowledge, every modern drive can be formatted to NTFS format.

why exactly do you say that?
You can't format a device NTFS from a Mac computer if that is what you are trying to do.
Thank for the info. But do you have any idea how I can play movies from an external device on my lg tv? Via USB it only support Fat32 and Ntsf
You can format the external device FAT32 using your Mac computer. If you want to format a device NTFS you would have to do it using a Windows computer.
ok! thank for your help, I really appreciate!
