Since the IOS 11 update, my ringtones no longer play and go to Apple default sounds

Since updating to IOS 11, my purchased ringtones no longer play and instead the phone rings with the Apple default setting. I have sought help at the local Apple store and apple support who tell me they know it’s a problem and they are working on it. This has been going on for at least 2 months
