Where does Logic Pro X store its Sound Library?

Hi all,

Went through the process of downloading/installing all of the additional sound files as well (about 40GB).

However, I can't find where LPX stores these files? I can't find any newly created folders, or any large additions to the Music folder, and right-clicking a sound in the library

doesn't allow you to "View in Finder". And there's nothing in Application Support either.

I know they're somewhere, because Time Machine backed them all up.

Any ideas? Thx!

The factory files are stored in the system directory

/Library/Application Support/Logic/

Apple Loops are stored in

/Library/Audio/Apple Loops/

Factory Patches and other settings files have been moved lately directly into the Logic app. To access those (which you shouldn't), you have to open the Package Content of the app.

BTW, the files will show up on your drive as soon as you have installed them. It as nothing to do with indexing.

Hope that helps
