Notification pops up on the left side of screen

Hi, ever since I updated to High Sierra (currently 10.13.2), my notifications pop up on the top left of the screen. See pic.

Then when I click on the "Open Notification Center", the notifications will pop up on the right as they should until I reboot my Mac Pro again. How do I fix this problem with the notification popping up on the left side?

Thank you!

Picking this up again.

@dialbrain: no this is neither advertisement nor malware. It's merely an email notification - this email seems to be advertisement, but the notification banner itself is not an ad. Please refrain from recommending "malware checks" when there is no need to at all.

back to the topic -- I have the exact same problem with High Sierra. Interestingly only in my main account. The account that I set up for my kids shows notifications at the correct, right-hand side spot.

@Imagine: did you install any 3rd party app like Bartender? I have Bartender 3 (for High Sierra) installed and only activated for main account (not kids' account).
