IOS 11.2.1 "No service/searching"

After downloading IOS 11.2.1 yesterday my iphone continuously cycles between "No Service" and "Searching."

I've tried turning the phone off and on several times. I've also reset the network settings and ejected and reinserted the SIM card. Eventually my service comes back for a few hours only for it to drop again.

When I went to the verizon store I purchased my phone from I was told that they have had 50+ people come into the store today with the same problem and there was nothing they could do as it was a bug that has affected the antenna.

How can I get this fixed? Is there going to an additional update to fix this issue?

To downgrade iOS11.2.1 to 11.2 only (as long as Apple is still officially signing the 11.2 version)...

On your pc or mac, go to iDownloadblog.com then select their Downloads tab, scroll down to the iPhone section & select the specific iOS 11.2. version for your specific iPhone model. Then select Go & download that specific .ipsw file to your pc or mac desktop.

Once downloaded, connect your iphone via usb cable & open your latest version of iTunes, then *fully backup* your iPhone first, then after it's done, while pressing & holding the Shift key on pc, select Restore tab in iTunes & pick the specific downloaded iOS11.2 version now saved on your desktop (if you don't press the shift key on the pc, iTunes will only download & restore the latest iOS version).

Once the Restore process is finished, your iPhone should then be on iOS11.2. Now set your phone up as a New phone first, then afterward, you can then restore data from your correct backup date. This process will work the same for any iOS downgrade as long as Apple is still allowing/signing that specific version (usually for only a few weeks after every iOS update).

same issue on my IPhone6s+, and i cost 12500 NT dollars to get refurbished machine 2 times,but the issue still happen.

But ,many user is using other model .

People who didn't use iphone 7 still in the same problem ,why apple don't solve the problem together?

There is a drop down "fix" which i thought it was stupid, but went ahead with it and it worked for now, lets hope apple finds a fix before i have to smash again my iphone, best

Same here. IPad keeps having the issue, iPhone X so far is fine. Fingers crossed. Rebooting the iPad is a temp fix, but it comes back again after a little while.

so ********! they have to fix this issue.. they should put a limit on IOS update to every iphone version to avoid software update issues

Even after updating to the latest iOS 11.3.1 the issue persists.

The signals came back for 3-5 mins and just vanished after that.

So disappointing....

This is not a bug, but a cheap trick from Apple to force you to replace and pay half the price of a new one

Logging in just because of this issue. I bought a X... was losing signal for months before they replaced it. Now my wifes 7, out of nowhere, decided to stop receiving signal. Apple Genius Bar said she needed a new Sim Card Reader and that she would have to buy a new phone... I did a couple updates/Reset Network, etc, and I can get it to work for a couple hours at a time.

There is no way its coincidence... its a firmware issue, bottom line. I have had every model of iphone since inception, a few ipads, and macbooks. I have lost so much time between these phones not working in the past 3 months, I am ready to jump ship for sure.

This has been very disappointing that Apple's technology is built to only last 2.5 years (and that's what their employees tell customers is a good lifespan!). There are customers that don't need the latest model to be content with their product...just as long it still works as a phone. 😟
