CarPlay disappeared from my Honda Civic Dashboard

I recently bought a new ‘17 Honda Civic EXT. Apple CarPlay worked great for a week. Now the CarPlay icon is no longer on my homescreen and my iPhone will not connect. I tried a new cable, as well as, updating/ rebooting my phone. Please help! I really am at a loss since the CarPlay icon is gone from the car’s dashboard.

Have you deleted the phone from the car's Smartphone settings? Sometimes that has helped me in my 2016 Civic. I've also deleted the car from CarPlay and the phone from the car's Smartphone settings to kind of allow it to set up as new. These Honda infotainment systems have been pretty buggy and lack a lot of usability other than being a random screen since Honda restricts what can be done and uploaded to the device.
