iPhone 7 call volume is too low

Hi Friends.
I have an iPhone 7 which is 15 months old. From past few days, the call volume has gone too low. I can hardly hear the other person on-line. Almost zero volume when I am outside. Right now managing by turning on speaker. Is this a common problem with iPhone-7? Is there any solution? Please help.

I had this problem as well. I tried all the weird tricks everyone posted but nothing helped.

Same phone, same timeframe.

I decided to take a magnifying glass to the speaker and saw a layer of caked on crud on the mesh covering the earpiece.

A bit of alcohol and a pick, followed by some canned air solved my problem.

Like night and day.

Don't discount the crud buildup. The mesh is easly blocked with oils, ear wax or debris from liquids and general dirt.

Take a look.
