Compressor update 4.4 crashing

Compressor 4.4 is crashing every time I "start batch." When it reopens it resumes the compression project for the full duration but then says "failed" at the end and provides no completed file.

Update:

Problem seems not Compressor specific.

If I export the "before not working movie" in Motion as simple "Export (as MOV)" and open it in Compressor, it works without any trouble...

Also tried with recovered version of Compressor and Motion, same effects at all.

Seems like the problem sticks somewhere between the applications not Compressor itself?!

Anybody same effect?

Hmm, thats really frustratin.

Build a little video, that even not worked. Exported as explaine then recoded > worked.

I got no idea in which constellation it work.

The only thing i can tell you is if i use a Motion Plugin from pixelfilmstudios (2D Photo to 3D depth), i‘m not able to export direct in compressor. Tried several times, with various constellations and lengh.

Regular videos „sometimes“ work.

Opened a ticket via bugreporter and added systemreport while it‘s tried to encode a regular motion project without any external Plugins.

Hopefully Apple can fix this...

Got the same effects.

Motion "export movie" works, but if I try to export maybe for "Apple Device" it "works without any progress", File is created but empty until ist stops with "Fehler Fehler beim Rendern von Video: -50 (ProMSRendererTool-Fehler -50: renderVideoFrame fehlgeschlagen)"

Not only with Compressor also Motion, FCPX not tested this time.

Compressor tells me "loading project" then crashes or if "started batch", runs "3-4 minutes" without any progress then tells me same error like Motion.

And yes, tried repair in Compressor also remove of cached files.

Seems like everything that uses ProMSRendererTool...

Tried various files on different Systems (new MBP 2017 / Mini late2014).

Any help welcome ....

I uninstalled compressor and also went into the library and deleted a couple of compressor related files. It still kept crashing. I tried your steps (Preferences/Advanced) and was able to compress a small video test file. I'll try it with a larger file later and let you know if it worked.
This has been extremely frustrating and I appreciate your advice and help.

After upgrading to 4.4, I'm grateful that it fixed the excessively large files on High Sierraproblem, but now about 1/3 of my jobs fail overnight with a "Video rendering error" from ProMSRendererTool, either -50 or 10008.

Compressor is pretty much unusable like this, when it's a crap-shoot to see whether or not a job is going to finish, and I think I need to come up with a Handbrake-based workflow instead.
