Ever Since I updated to iOS 11.2.1 my messages do not show in correct order Ive tried restart manually setting time and 24hr time. Nothing seems to fix this issue driving me nuts constantly missing text because overlooking. They are showing as if they were received before other messages. Common Apple your killing me how can I keep speaking so highly of you when lately you've been letting me down.
iPhone 6s, iOS 11.2.1
No unfortunately nothing I have tried has worked. Driving me insane hopefully they fix this vwith next update. I believe its related to the seconds in the tome settings in the code. It seems that if it is a message recieved within same minute they get placed together but seconds arent written in.
When will this get fixed? I have tried all the workarounds and they work for a day or so, then, it goes back to putting the messages in the wrong order. Please help!!!
11.2.5 is old, and it did not resolve the iMessage bug. I have been on 11.3 for the past 2 weeks, still the same issue.
Perhaps it depends on the ios of the other person you exchange iMessages with.
I hope iPhone is not running Windows OS to have to restart it for every single thing.
And by the way, restarting does not resolve the issue permanently, whichever way you restart it.

Interesting. It may be true that the issue started occurring in ios 11. What did they change with ios 11? Auto- date/time was always there?!
Problem persists and even seems worse for me and my wife. IOS 11.3 didn't help. using iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus.
This fix worked!! Force close messages app. Restart phone.
Reset auto date and time.
Reset Imessage
That will work for 2 days, then just do it again to keep working.
Hopefully it’s fixed soon, but if it’s been like this since 11.2 it doesn’t sound like it will be fixed soon. I personally didn’t experience any issue until 11.3.
Yea, it only happens when someone replies super fast, under a minute or 20 seconds, so some don't always notice it.
The release of iOS 11.4 today is reported to have a fix for the message order issue.
Sorry to echo but I still have this out of sync issue after I updated to the latest iOS 11.4.
